Kris Harris arrived on the Hilltop in April 2007 and now serves as Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Operations.
In this role, Harris supervises the facilities and event operations staff and oversees the management and use of Ford Stadium, Moody Coliseum, Crum Basketball Center, Westcott Field, Morrison-Bell Track, Pettus Practice Field and the Loyd All-Sports Center. A member of the Senior Staff, Harris is also the sport supervisor for the equestrian and men's and women's tennis teams.
Harris came to Dallas after seven years at Georgia Tech, where he was Facilities Manager. Harris supervised the athletic facilities staff and maintained six athletic fields and a golf practice facility, as well as surrounding landscaped areas and associated facilities. He coordinated pre-game and post-game duties for all outdoor athletic events and also had oversight of the construction of the Russ Chandler Baseball Field, the Grant Football Field, the Glenn Softball Field and the Griffin Track Infield.
A graduate of Texas A&M, Harris also served on the grounds crew for the Atlanta Braves.
Harris and his wife, Jessica, reside in McKinney with their children, Alexis, Jaxon, Coy and Reagan.
