SMU Men’s Basketball Adds Veteran Guard Oziyah Sellers

DALLAS (SMU) – SMU announced the addition of fifth-year guard Oziyah Sellers to a Mustang program continuing to build momentum under Head Coach Andy Enfield. SMU enters its third season under Enfield with one of the nation's top transfer classes, ranked No. 21 nationally by On3.
Sellers arrives on the Hilltop after starting 36 games in 2025-26 for the Big East champion St. John's. Sellers averaged 10.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.6 assists as St. John's went 30-7. During the previous 2024-25 season, Sellers started every game for Stanford and averaged 13.7 points per game in the ACC.
The veteran guard brings an extensive track record as a perimeter threat. Sellers previously played at Stanford (2024-25) and spent two seasons under Enfield at USC (2022-24). He is a career 37.8% three-point shooter, including a career-best 42.9% as a sophomore at USC, and has converted 86.9% of his free throws.
Sellers has enrolled at SMU and is practicing with the team as he awaits his eligibility status. With Sellers on the Hilltop, SMU looks to build on its momentum and continue the program's ascent in 2026-27. SMU season tickets for the 2026-27 campaign are available HERE.
