2007 (Cross Country): Took second at the Movin' Mavs Challenge... Was 46th at the Chile Pepper Invite... Posted an 11th-place finish at the C-USA Championships and was 32nd at the NCAA Regionals;
2007 (Track and Field): Indoor: Won the J.D. Martin Invitational in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:18.29... Also placed fifth in the Invitational in the one-mile run with a time of 5:17.08... Went on to place eighth in the Conference USA Championships in the 3,000 meter run with a time of 10:02.10.

2006 (Cross Country): Competed in six team events...11th-place finish at the Rice Invitational (15:02.00)...sixth-place finish at the Texas A&M Invitational (19:00)...68th-place finish at the Notre Dame Invitational (17:55)...68th-place finish at the Chile Pepper Festival (22:06.1)...11th-place finish at the Conference USA Championship (18:32.78), earning All-Conference USA third-team honors...25th-place finish at the NCAA South Central Regional (21:47.2).

2006 (Track and Field): Outdoor - At the John Jacobs Invitational, placed ninth in the 3,000-meter run (11:27.78)...at the TCU Invitational, placed 10th in the 5,000-meter run (19:18.32)...at the North Texas Twilight, placed 15th in the 5,000-meter run (19:18.57).

2005 (Cross Country): Started the season placing ninth with teammate Rachel Barber in Baylor Relays...placed 13th at Movin' Mavs Challenge...finished 15th at North Texas Invitational...ran at the pre-national meet.

High School: Four-year letterwinner at Gregory-Portland High School...set the school record in the 1600-meter and 3200-meter events...placed fourth in state in 2002 (cross country)...team regional champions in 2004...All-State Scholar-Athlete in 2004...also lettered in soccer.

Personal: Mathematics major...enjoys painting...favorite non-track athlete is Mia Hamm...favorite restaurant is Chuy's...favorite vacation spot is Cancun, Mexico...favorite dessert is chocolate cake...has two younger siblings...parents are Brad and Hollis Simmons.
