Norman, Okla. - SMU's Alesha Stegemoller collected 0.5 points for the Mustangs as she posted a jump of 1.76 meters in the high jump at the NCAA Midwest Track and Field Regional in Norman, Okla., on Saturday. The sophomore from Priddy, Texas, tied for eighth place with Iveta Grunte of Wichita State. Stegemoller still has a chance to compete in the NCAA Championships with the possibility of gaining an at-large bid in the high jump. That determination will not be made until the middle of next week.

Teammate Gaelle Naire was also scheduled to compete in the high jump, but did not start the competition. An injury hampered Naelle's ability to compete and after a doctor's evaluation, the decision to hold Naelle out of competition was made.

In the javelin event, Andrea Kvetova placed ninth with a toss of 45.42 meters.
