Mustangs Finish Sixth at WAC Championships

Boise, Idaho (SMU)- The SMU Mustangs finished sixth at the WAC Indoor Track and Field Championships after an early points lead. The team ended competition with 58 points.

In Saturday's competition, the women's distance medley team (Krystal Rodriguez, Staci Jackson, Ilyssa Pettigrew, and Jessica Jackson) placed first in their event, with a time of 12:00.28.

Karin van Rooyen finished second in the 3000 meter race in a time of 9:50.66. Teammate Nicole Kelleher finished eighth in the race in 10:08.11.

Louisiana Tech won the meet with 157 points.
