Mustangs In Fourth At WAC Championships

Boise, Idaho (SMU)- After the Mustangs' first day of competition at the WAC Indoor Track and Field Championships, the team is in fourth place. Franziska Lakomy was the only Mustang to compete today in the women's pentathlon.

Lakomy placed second in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:26.65. She placed fourth in the long jump with a leap of 5.43 meters and also finished fourth in the shot put competition, throwing 11.73 meters. Lakomy tied for eighth in the high jump event, jumping 1.56 meters and finished ninth in the 60 meter hurdles, running the event in a time of 9.46.

Competition for the Mustangs continues Friday in Boise.
