HOUSTON (SMU) - Stephanie Kalu set a school record in the 60 meter dash at 7.36, freshman Ashlee Powers set a meet record in the 5000 meter run at 17:23.79 as the SMU Mustangs won four events at the Howie Ryan Invitational hosted by Houston.

Mary Alenbratt won the 3000 meter run with a personal best time of 9:42.05. Freshman Karoline Skatteboe finished third, also setting a personal best at 9:49.85. Shanoah Souza (sixth, 9:57.47) and Powers (ninth, 9:59.98) also took top-10's with personal best times. The combo of Skatteboe, Alenbratt, Souza and Isis Wilson took the distance medley title by eight seconds over the field.

Helena Perez set a season best mark in the shot put at 15.29m, giving her a first place finish.

The Mustangs will head to Lubbock, Texas for the Red Raider Invitational on Feb. 2.
