Cieplucha, Fayner Named To All-Conference Teams

IRVING, Texas (SMU) --- No. 59 Edyta Cieplucha and Elena Fayner were named to the All-Conference USA Women's Tennis teams today. Cieplucha is First-Team All-C-USA, earning an all-league honor for the third straight campaign. Fayner was named to the All-C-USA third team following a stellar freshman season. Cieplucha was named All-C-USA for the third straight season after making the second team the past two years. This season, she went 18-9 overall with a 12-6 record at No. 1 singles. Cieplucha also had two wins over ranked opponents, including a sweep of No. 20 Kristi Boxx of Ole Miss on Feb. 18. Fayner finished the season 9-8, but won six of her last eight matches. She went 6-4 at No. 2 singles and 3-4 at the No. 3 spot. Fayner was victorious in all three matches against Conference USA opponents, including a sweep against UCF at No. 2 singles in the first round of the conference championship.
