FLUSHING, N.Y. (SMU) --- No. 10 Marta Lesniak defeated Sabrina Santamaria of USC 7-6(1), 6-0 in the first round of the USTA/ITA National Indoor Collegiate Championships on Thursday. Lesniak advances to face No. 5 Lauren Embree of Florida in the round of 16 on Friday at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Lesniak is 98-18 (.845) in her career, which ranks fourth at SMU in wins and second in winning percentage.
