AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. (SMU) – Sophomores Vaszilisza Bulgakova and Hristina Dishkova defeated Florida Gulf Coast junior Sarah Means and sophomore Elizabeth Means in the round of 16 doubles match play (7-6 (3), 6-3) at the Amelia Island 10K Championships. In the quarterfinals, the duo will face Tornado Alicia Black and Peggy Porter.
“There is good chemistry with this team,” assistant coach Jeff Hammond said. “As they work to get better, the chemistry they are building will help them succeed in the big moments of matches.”

"Congratulations to Hristina (Dishkova) on earning her first WTA doubles point," continued Hammond.
Beginning on Friday, SMU splits its team as head coach Kati Gyulai travels with the rest of team to the Colorado Invitational (Sept. 27-29) while Hammond remains at the Amelia Island 10K Championships, which close Sept. 29.
