OXFORD, Miss. (SMU) - Edyta Cieplucha knocked off No. 20 Kristi Boxx of Mississippi 6-4, 6-1 at No. 1 singles on as No. 56 SMU fell 6-1 at No. 24 Ole Miss on Saturday. Cieplucha is 9-3 overall and 3-0 at No. 1 singles after recording her first win this season over a ranked opponent. The Mustangs play at No. 21 Alabama on Sunday at 1 p.m.

"We had a slow start in doubles, but competed very well in singles today against a very tough Ole Miss team," said head coach Kati Gyulai. "We had a few stellar individual performances. Overall, I believe we have made improvements from the last match and we will continue building on today's successes."
