DALLAS (SMU) -No. 62 SMU fell to No. 60 LSU, 6-1, today in at the Las Colinas Country Club in Irving, Texas. The Mustangs are back in action on Thursday, when SMU hosts Wichita State at 2:00 p.m.

With its loss, SMU falls to 1-3 while LSU improved to 4-1 overall.

In singles play, freshman Macie Elliott defeated Gabrielle Otero in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3. With the win, Elliott improved her overall record to 7-7.

The Tigers captured the double point by sweeping all three matches, then five of six singles matches to capture the victory.
