A.J. Smith is 2006 graduate of Abilene Christian University with a B.A. in Political Science. A four-year letter winner at Pampa High School in Pampa, TX, Smith played number one singles and doubles for teams ranked in the top 10 of Class 4A. His collegiate experience includes playing experience at Catawba College (NC) and Abilene Christian University. Smith has taught tennis as a private instructor as well teaching for three summers at the Texas A&M tennis camp. He has two younger brothers, Mac, 22, a student at the Texas Tech School of Law, and Brody, 21, a junior at Abilene Christian University. He also has a younger sister, Savannah,16, a junior at Pampa High School. His parents are David and Myrna of Pampa. Smith is on track to graduate from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Masters of Public Affairs in May. He plans to pursue a Ph.D in Political Science.
