2007-08 (Jr.): Named first-team All-Conference USA... Earned the team's Singles Player of the Year award... With Pavi Francis, named team's Doubles Team of the Year... Went 12-8 (.600) this season at No. 1, including a big win over the then-38th-ranked player in the nation... Ranked as high as 73rd in the country this spring... Named Conference USA Player of the Week on Feb. 12... With Francis, compiled a team-best 16-4 (.800) record this spring... Entered the ITA rankings after defeating the No. 1 doubles pair in the country on March 24... Finished the regular season ranked No. 40 in the polls, after winning their last eight straight... Named to the C-USA All-Conference team in doubles... Achieved a preseason doubles ranking of No. 34 in the nation... Advanced to the Round of 16 at the ITA Regional Tournament, beating top players from Rice and Sam Houston State... Paired with Nicole Briceno at the ITA Regionals, earning a free pass in the first round and beating Houston in the second before withdrawing from the tournament due to a weather delay... Pulled out a win at the Mean Green Invitational...

2006-07 (So.): Team captain... Named to C-USA All-Academic Team... Named to C-USA Commissioners Honor Roll... With an 18-4 overall record in doubles, Bubien is in the record book as she is in a three-way tie for eighth place in most season victories and are in fourth place with.818 winning percentage... Played most of season at No. 1 singles with 11-8 record in dual meets... Strung together three consecutive singles wins at No. 1 to start season... In doubles, took win over top-50 pair from Troy... In helping guide the Mustangs to wins over ranked Troy and Louisville, was named C-USA Player of the Week (2/6).

Fall of 2006: Competed in the Gold Draw at the Baylor Invite defeating Christine Dao of Rice and then Karine Ionesco of TCU before falling to top 20 singles player, Zuzana Cerna of Baylor, in the quarterfinals... Went 1-1 in the doubles Gold Draw of the Baylor Invitational... Qualified to compete in the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships... Went 2-1 in Blue Singles of Rice Invite, defeating Tiffany Lee of Rice to advance to semifinal round... Advanced to the sweet 16 round at ITA Regionals.

2005-06 (Fr.): Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal Winner... Played most of the season and No. 1 and No. 2 in singles and No. 1 at doubles... Posted five-match win streak in doubles with former Mustang Svetlana Kouzmenko near end of season... Helped guide team to second-place finish at C-USA Championship... Defeated singles opponent from UCF in first match and paired with Kouzmenko to help clinch doubles point against UCF to help the Mustangs advance in C-USA Championship.

Previous Playing Experience: Held the No. 1 national ranking in Poland in both 12's and 14's... Held a top-five national ranking in 16's and 18's as a junior player... Won the Polish ITF doubles championship and reached the quarterfinals in singles... Placed second in doubles and third in singles at the Junior Polish Championships in the 18's division... Gained her most impressive win by defeating Olga Savchukhow (ranked No. 138 on the WTA) at the 2001 European Team Championships in Moscow.

Personal: Daughter of Bohdan and Joanna Bubien of Warsaw, Poland... Her father was a javelin thrower and her mother ran the 100 and 200 sprint relays at the European National Championships... Has one brother and a younger sister... Began playing tennis at age six...Chose SMU for the coaching staff and campus beauty...Favorite thing about SMU is the tennis program and academics...Majoring in psychology with a minor in sociology in the pursuit of being a sports psychologist...Favorites: Roger Federer, athlete; Jay-Z, musical artist; Al Pacino, actor; Carlito's Way, movie; Spain, vacation spot.
