DALLAS (SMU) - SMU women's swimmer Isabella Arcila was named the Conference USA Swimmer of the Week after leading the Mustangs with two individual golds and two relay wins en route to a 156-106 victory over C-USA rival Rice in a dual meet Saturday afternoon at Perkins Natatorium.

The sprint free-specialist won the 50- and 100-yard freestyles with times of 23.24 and 51.12, respectively. The sophomore All-America was also a part of both relay wins on the afternoon, leading the Mustangs in the 400-yard medley relay (3:46.50) and the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:33.64). Arcila's 50 free mark is the fastest time by a C-USA swimmer this season. The 200 freestyle relay is also a season-best by a C-USA squad.

This is Arcila's first weekly honor of the season and second of her career (Jan. 31, 2012).

The Mustangs compete in the Phil Hansel Invitational hosted by Houston Nov. 15-17.
