DALLAS (SMU) - Multiple Mustangs swimmers have competed well this offseason, including solid international performances at the World University Games and the Canadian Summer National Championships.

Rachel Nicol won the 100-meter Breaststroke at the Canadian Summer National Championships, touching the wall in 1:09.48. The Lethbridge, Alberta native won by more than a second over the runner-up finisher.

Nathalie Lindborg represented her native Sweden at the World University Games in Kazan, Russia this week, participating in six events. Lindborg made the finals in three races, placing seventh in the 4 x 200-meter relay, eighth in the 4 x 100-meter medley relay and eighth in the 4 x 100-meter freestyle relay.

SMU will have multiple reprsentatives at the World Championships in Barcelona starting July 28. Coach Steve Collins will also be there as a coach for the Bulgarian national team.
