Carman Wins Pair Of Events, Pike Victorious At Three-Way Meet

AUSTIN (SMU) - The SMU women?s swimming & diving team trail both Texas and Arizona in dual meet action in Austin, Texas. The women trail 101-65 to the Longhorns and 88-79 to the Wildcats.

Anja Carman continued her strong season, easily winning the 200 backstroke in 1:56.87 and the 500 freestyle in 4:45.17. Teammate Flavia Rigamonti took second in the 500 free in 4:47.03.

In three-meter diving, Mustang Elizabeth Pike cruised to a win, posting 485.55, while Pony Kristin Schild took third with 459.35.

The teams continue the competition Saturday on the UT campus with events starting at 1 p.m.
