SMU Women's Swimming Defeats Both North Texas and Houston

DALLAS (SMU) - The No. 6 SMU women?s swimming & diving team defeated both Houston and North Texas Friday night Jan. 14, at the Student Rec Center in Denton, Texas. The Mustangs defeated Houston 139-129 and North Texas 155-112, while winning all but two events on the evening.

Flavia Rigamonti continued her dominance in distance events winning the 500 free (4:49.06) by almost five seconds. SMU also took both relay events winning the 200 medley relay (1:46.37) and the 200 free relay (1:37.16). The Mustangs also took second in the 200 FR (1:38.36).

With the wins, SMU moves to 3-1 in dual meets on the season. The Mustangs return to the pool Jan. 28-29, when they travel to Austin, Texas, to take on both Texas and Arizona.
