MESA, Arizona (SMU) - The SMU swim teams participated in the USA Grand Prix at the Skyline Aquatic Center. Mesa, Arizona was the fourth stop on the Arena Grand Prix Series.
Sophomore Nathalie Lindborg finished fifth in the 100-meter freestyle with a final time of 55.96, Nina Rangelova finished at 56.44 for a tenth place finish, and Isabella Arcila came in eleventh with a final time of 56.11.
Junior Monika Babok finished twenty-third in the 100-meter butterfly with a final time of 1:06.00.
Rangelova earned sixth in the 200-meter freestyle with a final time of 2:01.95.
In the 50-meter freestyle Lindborg finished ninth with a final time of 25.91, Rangelova finished fourteenth at 26.48, Arcila finished seventeenth at 26.18, and Babok earned a final time of 27.28 and finished twenty-fourth.Nicol took fourth in the 100-meter breaststroke clocking in at 1:09.88, Dvariskyte finished eighth at 1:11.27, Donadon clocked in at 1:14.10 for sixteenth.Arcila finished fifth in the 100-meter backstroke with a final time of 1:02.47.On the men's side, senior Mindaugas Sadauskas earned fourth in the 100-meter freestyle touching the wall at 49.78 and senior David Larsson took sixteenth at 51.57.In the 100-meter butterfly Larsson finished at 55.43 for a fourteenth place finish.Sadauskas took fourth in the 50-meter freestyle finishing with a final time of 23.01 and Larsson touched the wall at 23.71 for a fifteenth place finish.Sophomore Matas Andriekus finished the 100 meter backstroke with a time 55.84 for fifth place.
