Mustangs Complete Final Night At Austin Arena Grand Prix

Nicol, who placed third and swam a lifetime best in the 200-meter breaststroke on night one of the grand prix, finished fourth in the 100-breast posting a 1:08.79, which was faster than her preliminary time of 1:09.44.
Classmate Arcila posted a 1:02.04 in the 100-meter backstroke to finish fourth overall. Arcila's time was also an improvement from her prelim time.
In the B final of the 100-breast, freshman Tara-Lynn Nicholas topped all other swimmers to place ninth overall in the event with a time of 1:11.33. Former SMU student-athlete Raminta Dvariskyte finished just behind Nicholas at 1:11.86. Both Nicholas and Dvariskyte improved on their times from earlier Sunday.
Senior Nina Rangelova placed fourth (12th overall) in the 200-meter individual medley B final clocking in at 2:21.38.
The entire SMU team is back in action on Friday, Jan. 31 when it hosts North Texas at the Perkins Natatorium. The meet begins at 1:00 p.m. CT and live results can be found at SMUMustangs.com.
