2012-13 (Fr.): Named Conference USA Freshman of the Year... NCAA Championship: Was a part of the 800 free relay team (Arcila, N. Lindborg, Rangelova) that placed 21st ... Conference USA Championships: Helped the 400 medley (Arcila, Nicol, Rangelova) and 800 free (Rangelova, McCall, Villars) teams to first place finishes ... Also placed second in the 100 butterfly, third in the 200 butterfly and 10th in the 200 IM.

Prior to SMU: Competed in the 2012 London Olympics... Is a member of the Swiss National Team... Competed in the 2012 European Championships and the 2010 Youth Olympic Games... Has won multiple Swiss titles and hold four Swiss national records... Swam for Limmat Sharks Zurich under coach Dirk Reinicke.

Personal: Anticipated biology major... Chose SMU for the academics, the swim team and because former Mustang Flavia Rigamonti went here... Enjoys being with friends, shopping and music... Lists Ian Thorpe and Michael Phelps as her favorite athletes... Parents are Pierre and Violette Villars... Has one sister.
