2014 (Summer): Colombian National Championship: Set the Colombian National Record in the 50-meter freestyle (25.66) en route to a gold-medal perfromance ... Also placed first in the 200-meter backstroke and as part of the 400-meter freestyle relay team ... Finished 10th in the 100- and 200-meter back 3/29-31 at the Indy Grand Prix... Conference USA Championship: Won the 50-free, was second in the 200-back, placed third in the 100-back, and was a member of the winning and meet record-setting 200-free relay, 200-medley relay and 400-free relay squads 2/15-18 at the Conference USA Championships... Placed second in the 50- and 100 free, and was a member of the winning 200-free relay and second-place 200-medley relay squads 2/4 at Texas... Won the 100-free and was a member of the winning 200-free relay 1/25 at TCU... Took second in the 200-back, and was a member of the winning 200-free relay and second-place 400-medley relay teams 1/21 at Houston... Came in 13th in the 100-meter back and 14th in the 200-meter back 1/20-22 at the Austin Grand Prix... Won the 50-free, and was a member of the winning 400-free relay squad and second-place 200-medley relay team 1/12 at No. 10 Texas A&M... Set a Columbian national record in the 200-meter backstroke (2:18.38) and placed 24th in the 100-meter backstroke (1:03.46) 12/1-3 at the AT&T Winter National Championships... Took second in the 50-free, third in the 200-back, and was a member of the winning 200-free relay, the first-place 400-free relay, the second-place 200-medley relay and the second-place 400-medley relay teams 11/17-19 at the Cougar Classic... Won the 50- and 100 free, and was a member of the winning 200-free relay team 11/4 against North Texas and Wyoming... Placed second in the 50-free and was a member of the second place 200-medley relay and the 10/21-22 in the SMU Classic.

Prior to SMU: Swam for the Valle swim club under coach Fabio Toro.

Personal: Chose SMU for the swim team and education... Lists Ryan Lochte as her favorite athlete... Parents are Juan Carlos Arcila and Martha Hurtado... Has one sister.
