Mustangs Open The Season At The Razorback Relays

Mustangs host the SMU Classic Oct. 19-20 at Perkins Natatorium

2012-13 (Sr.): Conference USA Championship: Finished 15th in the 100 breast and 100 butterfly and 16th in the 200 butterfly ... Earned a second place finished in the 400 medley relay (Matthews, Donadon, Vavourakis) against TCU ... Placed sixth as part of the 3x100 butterfly relay (O'Keefe, Murphy) and seventh as part of a 400 medley relay team (Volchkov, Donadon, Meyer) at the Arkansas Relays.

2010-11 (So. at NM State): Smashed her lifetime-best times in the 100 fly (56.00) and 200 fly (2:05.01) at the WAC Championships... Scored at the conference meet with a pair of top-10 finishes in the 100 fly (ninth place) and 200 fly (10th place)... Earned top honors in the 100 fly 12/4 at Northern Arizona... Finished third in the event 11/5 at Washington State, 1/22 Colorado State and 2/5 New Mexico... In the 200 fly, she collected a second-place showing at CSU and Idaho (Nov. 6)... Named Academic All-WAC.

2009-10 (Fr. at NM State): Helped NM State to a program-best second-place finish at the 2010 WAC Championships with career-best performances in the 100 fly (57.47), 200 fly (2:09.92), 100 back (58.95), 200 back (2:06.64) and 50 free (24.99)... Ferrin collected third place in the 200 fly 10/31 against Northern Arizona/Northern Colorado... Was third in the 100 fly and swam the third leg of the third-place 200-medley relay 1/2 against Idaho... Earned third in the 100 fly 1/30 at Boise State.

Prep: Was a 2009 High School All-America... Also earned All-State and All-District honors in 2009... Helped Highland Park to the $A District, Regional and State Championships all four years... Took third in the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke in the 2009 4A State Championships... Swam for the Dallas Mustangs under coach Mook Rhodenbaugh.

Personal: Anticipated sociology major... Chose SMU because of its location and academic reputation... Enjoys listening to music, being with family and friends, and food... Lists Michael Phelps as her favorite athlete... Parents are Michael and Rhonda Ferrin... Has one brother and one sister.
