2007 Spring Banquet

Awards were handed out at the SMU women's swimming and diving team's annual banquet at the Umphrey Lee Ballroom.

2007-08 (Sr.): Team captain... Named 2008 Conference USA Swimmer of the Year... Earned All-American accolades in 200 free and the 200, 400 and 800 free relays at NCAAs, helping the Mustangs to an 11th-place team finish... Swam career-fastest times in the 500 free, 200 free and 100 free at the 2008 Conference USA Championships... Named 2008 C-USA Swimmer of the Meet following her performance... Member of the C-USA meet record-breaking 400 and 800 free relays... Finished second in 500 free and first in 400 medley relay against Texas (2/9)... Took second in the 50 free and first in the 100 free against Rice (1/19)... Won the 200 free against Houston (1/18)... Finished fifth in the 200 free and 500 free against Texas A&M and Auburn; member of the fourth-place 400 free relay (1/12)... Part of the first-place 400 free relay and third-place 400 medley relay and took third in the 500 free at Georgia (1/5)... Took second in the 100 free and 400 free relay at the Texas A&M Invitational (11/16-18)... Won the 500 free against North Texas and Wyoming (11/9)... Career-best time in 100 free ranks eighth in all-time top performers list as well as career-best 200 free which ranks tenth... Helped guide SMU to second consecutive C-USA Championship crown and claim first-place finish at the Kerr McGee Elite Meet... Named to All-C-USA 500 free, 200, 400 and 800 free relay first team, 200 free second team and 100 free third team... 2005-06 (So.): C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll... Tied for second best SMU time in 200 free.. Participated in free and fly events... Led SMU to C-USA crown in inaugural season in the conference, seventh place finish at 2006 NCAA Championship and first place finish at SMU Classic Championship... Member of meet and pool record-breaking C-USA Champion 800 free relay team... Set new career-best time while clocking in for second place at C-USA Championship in 200 free... Member of record-breaking C-USA champion 400 free relay team... Clocked new career-best time in 50 free at C-USA Championship... Notched season-best time in 100 free at NCAA Championship... 2004-05 (Fr.): Made an immediate impact... Helped guide SMU to its ninth straight WAC Championship, seventh place finish at the 2005 NCAA Championship and fifth SMU Classic championship... Competed in free and fly events... Member of All-American 800 free relay team... Member of WAC Champion 400 and 800 free relay teams... Third-best SMU time in the 200 and 1000 free.

Prep: 16-time All-American... 12-time Texas state champion... State record in the 100 free... Member of the American record-breaking 800 relay team... Team captain and four year letter winner... Four time team state champion.

Personal: Daughter of Chris and Marie Blackman... Twin sister, Candace, is also on the SMU squad... Majoring in advertising with a minor in Spanish.
