SMU ALL-TIME VS. UCF
The Mustangs are 4-7 all-time against UCF, including a 1-0 home win last season when
UCF was ranked No. 19. Courtney Smith assisted the game-winning goal for SMU in the
62nd minute. The Mustangs are 2-4 when playing the Knights in Orlando, and haven't
won there since 1994. UCF has shutout SMU each of the last two games played in between
the teams in Orlando.

SMU Downs No. 19 UCF, 1-0
DALLAS (SMU) - In the Conference USA opener, the SMU women's soccer team upset No. 19 UCF 1-0 tonight at Westcott Field, earning the program's first win over a ranked opponent since November 15, 2002. The win moves the Mustangs to 5-4-0 on the season, while the Knights drop to 5-2-2.

ABOUT THE KNIGHTS
UCF is 10-2-1 (4-1-0 C-USA) on the season and is coming off of a four-game winning
streak, including a 2-0 win over Tulsa on Friday night. The Knights have outscored their
opponents 9-0 in those three games, including a dominant 6-0 victory at UAB on Sept.
23. UCF's only losses have come to Memphis on the road in overtime, and to the current
No.1 team in the nation Florida State (1-0 defeat on Aug. 24 in Orlando). Senior Nicolette
Radovcic leads the Knights attack with eight goals in 2012, good for second in the C-USA.
She is also scoring very efficiently, posting a .381 shooting percentage.
NOTES FROM FRIDAY
SMU outshot Southern Miss 19-10. Nine different Mustangs recorded at least one
shot.
Freshman goalkeeper Shannon Moroney made her third straight start in goal for
SMU.
The Mustangs took 10 corner kicks in the contest, but none produced a goal. Southern
Miss only had two corner kick opportunities.
SMITH LENDS A HELPING HAND..... OR FOOT
Junior defender Courtney Smith has been a huge part of SMU's offensive gameplan, even
though she hasn't scored a goal in 2012. Smith currently leads the C-USA in total assists
with 8. She is also ranked 3rd in the nation in total assists, and is 8th in assists per game.
WINNING AT WESTCOTT
SMU currently boasts a 4-0-1 record at home this season, and has outscored its opponents
by a margin of 13-3. Dating back to the beginning of 2011, SMU is 11-2-1 in Dallas.
HIGH-OCTANE OFFENSE FROM THE HILLTOP
Two SMU players have scored six or more goals in a season for the first time since the
2006 season. Both Shelby Redman and Kenzie Scovill have scored six this season, with
seven regular season games remaining. The Mustangs are averaging nearly two goals per
game, putting them fourth in the C-USA.
SPREADING THE LOVE
During SMU's first four Conference USA games, the Mustangs have scored a total of nine
goals. Those goals have come from six different players. SMU is also moving the ball well,
tallying eight assists during those games.
