STILLWATER, Okla. (SMU) - The SMU women's soccer team was handed its first loss of the spring on Saturday afternoon in a 1-0 defeat to Oklahoma State. Kendra Boydstun registered the game-winner for the Cowgirls in the first half.

"We were disappointed to lose at OSU this weekend," said SMU head coach Brent Erwin. "The girls played great and worked incredibly hard. It was a good game, but the result just did not go our way. It was good to play a quality opponent in what proved to be very tough weather conditions. It was a good challenge and we will be better for the experience. "

The Mustangs will now turn their attention toward another 2011 NCAA tournament qualifier in Texas A&M. The Ponies travel to College Station, Texas, for a 1 p.m. CT, kick-off on April 21.

"We are excited to go and play at Texas A&M," Erwin said. "They are a good team and it will be a very good game for us as we continue to prepare for the fall."
