Mustangs Open Spring Season With 5-0 Victory

DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU women's soccer team opened up the spring season on Saturday with a 5-0 win over Midwestern State.

SMU took a 1-0 lead into halftime, but opened things up in the second half with another four. In all, five different Mustangs tallied goals-Kenzie Scovill, Jessica Bartol, Ryanne Lewis, Olivia Elliott and Shelby Redman.

Lauryn Bodden picked up the start in goal, with Meg Stewart replacing her in the second half.

SMU's next game will be against TCU on April 6 at the Dallas International Cup.
