COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (SMU) – The SMU women’s soccer team was defeated 1-0 by Colorado College this afternoon at Stewart Field. The Mustangs drop to 9-7-1 overall and 5-3-1 in Conference USA, while the Tigers move to 8-6-3 overall and 6-2-1 in the league.

Colorado College scored the lone goal of the match in the 52nd minute when Lauren DiGregorio got into the middle of the defense and took a shot to the left post from 15 yards out that beat SMU goalkeeper Courtney Webb.

Against an aggressive Tiger attack that outshot SMU 17-9, Webb kept the Mustangs in the game throughout, tying her season-high in saves with seven. Mallory Baum led the SMU attack with five shots, putting two on frame.

SMU will look to rebound as the team travels to El Paso, Texas ahead of Sunday’s contest with UTEP (10-5-2, 4-3-1). Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. CT at University Field.
