Women's Rowing

Entry 4

I can't believe we are seven weeks into the Fall 2007 Season! Now that we all have a routine with school and rowing we're gaining speed, bonding as a team and keeping our eye on Top 25. We have everything we need to reach this goal and this is the year we all want it more than anything else.

My name is Bianca Medici and I am a freshman Mustang Rower. After our first 7 weeks of training I am beginning to see exactly what it takes to be a Mustang Rower. From early morning practices to hour runs in the extreme Texas heat our coaches and trainers know exactly how to push us to the max. But all of this is about to pay off next weekend in Oklahoma! It'll be us Freshman's first race this season and I know I can speak for all of us when I say we can't wait to show everyone how fast we are.

We have a big recruiting class with eight great girls. All of us come from strong high school backgrounds and a history of winning. Having everyone together in one boat is very exciting. The upperclassmen have been awesome about welcoming us to the team and making us feel less like freshman and more like new family members. This is the start of an awesome year and many more to come! PONY UP!!
