Entry 3
Hello! My name is Krystal Harman and I am a sophomore on the rowing team. This is my second year rowing for the Stangs. So far in practice these past few weeks we have been rowing both small and large boats. The mornings mainly consist of some sort of steady-state and some drill work. We have been working on the top-quarter drill to try and make our catch timing more together. The reason we have been working on this drill is because we have our first race coming up in about two weeks. How exciting! This weekend is Parent's Weekend and also Rumble on the Rock. Rumble on the Rock is when we get to compete against our former alum in a race this Saturday. I'm sure they will get a run for their money. Also our parents will be able to get a chance to get in a boat and learn how to row. Besides that we have been lifting two days a week with our strength coach Amber who is whipping us into great shape. The days we don't lift we have been erging and doing distance runs to keep ourselves in shape. Practice has been getting more intense as we train for our first regatta of the season. --Krystal Harman '10
