Mustangs Compete In C-USA Championships Saturday

DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU women's rowing team will compete at the Conference USA Championships Saturday on Melton Hill Lake in Oak Ridge, Tenn. The event will begin with preliminary heat races starting at 9 a.m. ET, with the finals scheduled to start at 2:20 p.m.

The Mustangs have raced against five of the 11 teams in the field, with the 1st Varsity 8+ winning the rematch against Kansas State at the San Diego Crew Classic and narrowly missing a wins against Old Dominion and UCF at Miami in the last event of the regular season.

SMU will be in the second heat of each preliminary race, with the 1V8+ starting at 9:10 a.m. The 2V8+ will begin at 9:30, with the V4+ wrapping up the heat races for the Mustangs at 9:50. Each school will then be seeded based on its time to determine lineups for the finals.
