DALLAS (SMU) -The SMU Mustangs women's golf team will look to take its third win of the season at the Alamo Invitational hosted by UTSA at The Golf Club of Texas at Briggs Ranch.

The Mustangs are enlisting a lineup of Felicia Espericueta, Jenny Haglund, Alexandra Rossi, Jennifer Park and Melanie White to try to prevail at a tournament that includes nine teams in GolfWeek's top-50. SMU is currently ranked 36th.

"We had some great work leading into this tournament, so it will be good to put ourselves to the test against some top teams," Head Coach Jeanne Sutherland said. "Felicia is just now starting to shake off the effects of her shoulder surgery and is scoring well. Jenny is back in the lineup after a month of illness. Alexandra and Jennifer have been team leaders all fall and Melanie is ready to rebound from her last start."

SMU is ranked 36th in the latest GolfWeek poll. The Mustangs have won two tournaments this season; the Chip-N Club Invite and the Johnie Imes Invitational. Rossi and White took the individual medalist honors at each event. The team hopes to continue its successful season with a victorious three days at the Alamo Invitational.

"We are going into the tournament with our focus on doing the little things we need to do to play well and at the end of 54 holes, we want to hold the trophy," Sutherland said.
