CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (WGCA/SMU) - SMU freshman Katie Page and senior Maria Elena Villamil have been named Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholars, the WGCA announced today.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50. This was Villamil's fourth selection, having been honored every season she has played.

Page, a native of Louisville, Ky., played in eight tournaments, including each of the last six, in 2013-14, averaging a 76.57. She recorded three rounds at par or better, including a season-low 70 in the final round of the Central District Invitational.

Villamil, from Madrid, Spain, played in all 11 tournaments in the 2013-14 campaign, averaging a 75.78. She was the only SMU golfer to play every round each of the last two seasons (21 tournaments). She finished 14th at The American Athletic Conference Championships this season, her top finish of the year.
