DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU Mustangs women's golf team will host the 2013 Earl Stewart College-Am on April 4 at the Dallas Athletic Club, and fans are encouraged to sign up to play alongside some of the top collegiate golfers in the nation.

Amateurs will be paired with their collegiate counterparts and can compete for prizes. The cost for individuals is $250, and teams of five can get a discounted rate of $1000 total. The proceeds go to support SMU women's golf and the Dallas Athletic Club Invitational, which takes place April 5-7. On top of playing 18 holes at the DAC, participants will receive a golf cart for their round, lunch and range balls for their practice round.

The festivities don't end at the 18th hole. After the last round has completed, a barbecue dinner will be served along with live music from the Steve Helms Band.

Those interested can contact Head Coach Jeanne Sutherland at (214) 931-4879 or by e-mail at jsutherland@smu.edu.

The Mustangs are experiencing a very successful season, winning three tournaments so far and holding a current national ranking of 36th in the latest GolfWeek/Sagarin rankings. Two players, Alexandra Rossi and Melanie White, have won individual medalist honors at events.
