Mustangs Slip To 13th At Longhorn Invite

AUSTIN (SMU) - The SMU women?s golf team continued to struggle on day two of the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational at The University of Texas Golf Club and are in 13th place following 36 holes with a 72-over 648.

Laura Cross and Jennifer Ackerson, both hampered by injuries, improved in round two, as each shot 78 and now stand in 38th and 47th, respectively. Freshman Lacey Jones slipped a bit in round two, following up her opening-round 78 with an 84 and is now tied for 50th. Kristina Rothengatter and Ashley Deatherage were consistent, as each repeated her first-round total ? Rothengatter at 83 and Deatherage at 88. Rothengatter is 69th and Deatherage is 96th.

Final-round action begins at 8 a.m. on Sunday.
