DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU women's golf team sits in eighth after a 20-over 308 in the opening round of the Dallas Athletic Club/SMU Invitational, which was played on Friday. In the tight-knit field, only four strokes separate third (Oklahoma State/+17) from ninth (TCU/+21) after the first round.
Freshman Katie Page led the Mustangs in the first round, carding a three-over 75, good for 12th in the first round. Page recorded two bogeys on each side of the golf course, but looked to build momentum towards her round for tomorrow, birding the par-4 18th to end her opening round.
