DALLAS (SMU) – The SMU women’s golf team was back in Dallas, Texas today as the squad hosted Missouri State in a one-round dual match at the Dallas Athletic Club. The Mustangs fell 314 to 328.

“It was good to get out and compete at Dallas Athletic Club,” SMU head coach Jeanne Sutherland said. “It is a great test of golf. We learned some things about our short game and course management that will help us prepare as we go forward this spring.”

Felicia Espericueta and Elizabeth Wells had SMU’s top scores of the day, posting an 8-over par, 80, which tied for third.

The Mustangs next tournament will be March 16-18 as the squad heads to Mesa, Ariz., to compete in the Clover Cup.
