ORLANDO, Fla. (SMU) - Sophomore Jenny Haglund shot a one-over 73 to finish fourth on the individual leaderboard, and lead SMU to a 14th place finish at this week's UCF Challenge at Eagle Creek Golf Club. SMU finished Tuesday's round at nine-over and its first tournament of the spring at 20-over.

Haglund, who started the round on the sixth hole, began her morning at two-over through the first nine, before birding 16 and 1 to get back to even. The Mustang sophomore would bogey the par-four third to finish the tournament at three-under par. This week marked the fourth tournament in her career that Haglund finished under par (third this season), and three-under ties her best tournament finish (2013 Betsy Rawls Invitational).

After starting the third round at five-over through seven holes, freshman Lindsey McCurdy birdied three and pared 8 of the final 11 holes to turn in her second-best score of her young career, a two-over 74.

Junior Jennifer Park finished the final round of her third tournament of the season at three-over. Park and sophomore Alexandra Rossi finished the opening tournament of the spring in a tie for 63rd. Rossi concluded the afternoon with a five-over 77.

Senior Maria Elena Villamil carded a three-over 75 to finish the tournament at 10-over and in 70th.

UCF's Fanny Cnops won the individual title by three strokes (-8), and led her team, the tournament hosts, to the team title by a stroke.

The Mustangs will have their quickest turnaround of the spring, as the they return to the Sunshine State on Monday to play in the Central District Challenge.
