Tom Harris begins his fifth year as assistant golf coach for the both the men's and women's programs at SMU.
During the past four years with the Mustangs, Harris has been an intricate part of 19 tournament wins, three conference championships and seven NCAA Regional and three NCAA Championship appearances.
Prior to SMU, Harris served as Tournament Director for the American Junior Golf Association in Atlanta, Georgia beginning in September of 2000. Harris was responsible for conducting half a dozen tournaments each year of the AJGA's 68 tournament schedule throughout the United States and Canada.
Harris served as assistant men's golf coach during the 1999-2000 year at Oklahoma City University. During his time at OCU, Harris assisted with one of the top NAIA men's golf programs in the nation.
Harris also served Internships with the American Junior Golf Association, Oklahoma Golf Association and United States Golf Association, prior to his coaching stint at OCU and SMU.
A 2000 graduate of Oklahoma City University, Harris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.
