DALLAS (SMU) – The No. 10 SMU equestrian team has signed Hayley Banas (Lake Forest, Ill.), Alexa Boggio (Atlanta, Ga.), Caroline Delehanty (Hillsborough, Calif.) and Allison Toffolon (Bronxville, N.Y.) to National Letters of Intent, head coach Natalie Burton announced on Wednesday.

“These four are in the top group of recruits in the country,” Burton said. “They all bring top levels of experience in equitation and jumpers, and ride at a very high level. We’re excited to add this group to our program next season.”

Banas’ riding achievements include wins at the Winter Equestrian Festival and equitation victories at the Kentucky Horse Park. The Lake Forest, Ill., native also earned the Low Junior Jumper Horse of the Year Award.

Boggio comes to the Hilltop as a top ribbon winner in multiple equestrian classes at the Winter Equestrian Festival, and a reserve champion in the jumper division at the Washington International. The Atlanta native was a multiple ribbon winner at the Devon Horseshow and the Lake Placid Horseshow.

Delehanty enters her collegiate career with multiple championships in the Junior Hunter’s equitation divisions and jumper divisions. In 2013, Delehanty and her team won the West Coast Team Junior Jumper Championships, and were reserve champions at the SIHS Jumper Championships.

Toffolon was the 2012 Sam Edelman Equitation champion at the Hampton Classic, and in 2013 was a member of the Zone 2 Junior Young Rider team at the 2013 NAJRYC Championships that won the gold medal. The Bronxville, N.Y., native also finished fourth individually at the competition. At the 2013 equitation finals, Toffolon finished third at the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search.
