DALLAS (SMU) - SMU equestrian coach Haley Schoolfield announced the signings of Sylvia de Toledo and Addie Audette to National Letters of Intent today. The duo joins Taylor Schmidt as signees for the 2013-14 season.

"Sylvia is a top recruit," said Schoolfield. "We are very pleased to have her join us on the Hilltop next fall. Her long list of wins on catch rides will make her an instant asset to our team."

de Toledo, a native of New York, placed third in the 2012 USET East Coast Finals. She was fifth at the Southeast Maclay Regionals and was a top-15 finisher at the Maclay Finals. de Toledo trains with Jeffrey Welles and Don Stewart.

"We are delighted to have Addie as a Mustang," said Schoolfield. "With her excellent background in equitation, we know that she will complement our growing team."

Audette, a native of Fall River, Mass., received the Developing Rider Award at the 2012 Vermont Summer Festival. She also has earned top ribbons this year at the Devon Horse Show, Winter Equestrian Festival and Saratoga Horse Show. Audette trains alongside future Mustang Schmidt at North Run Farm in Vermont under the guidance of Missy Clark.

No. 10 SMU hosts No. 1 South Carolina at 10 a.m. on Sunday at BuckBranch Farm.
