DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU equestrian team announced the signing of Hannah McCain, Morgan Redwine, and Jaclyn White to National Letters of Intent today. All three riders will join SMU's western team in its inaugural season.

"We are delighted to have Hannah, Jaclyn, and Morgan as members of our western team," said head coach Haley Schoolfield. "Each of these young ladies bring years of experience, training, dedication, and championships to our team. We can't wait for them to arrive on the Hilltop in August and get started as Mustangs Equestrians!"

McCain, a native of Abilene, Texas, trains with Alicia Carroll of Abilene and Colt and Brittany Andrews out of Whitesboro, Texas. She has had multiple top-ten finishes at the APHA and APHC World Show, including a top-five finish in 2010 in both novice youth horsemanship and equitation. McCain will be competing at the 2013 APHA and APHC World Shows in Fort Worth, Texas, in July.

Redwine, also a native of Abilene, Texas, trains with Sonja Rhodes-Adams. She has won 18 World Titles for APHA and PHBA, with four of them in Horsemanship. She was also a five-time Golden Horse PHBA Youth World All-Around Winner.

White, a native of Argyle, Texas, trains with Terri King. She was fourth in Western Riding at the 2012 AQHYA World Show. Later in 2012, she took second in Trail at the AQHA Novice World Show. Additionally, she was the 2012 All-Around Youth AQHA Region 8 winner.
