FRESNO, Calif. (SMU) – The SMU equestrian team made its final trip of the season outside of the state of Texas, and dropped duals against No. 2 Baylor (13-3) and hosts Fresno State (10-5) in the Fresno State Invitational on Saturday.

Courtney Line’s horsemanship ride highlighted the Mustangs’ dual against Baylor, as the junior earned SMU’s only western point of the competition with an MOP ride. SMU’s other two points against Baylor came over fences, as freshman Sylvia de Toledo picked up her eighth win of the season, and senior Julianna Fischer scored her sixth fences point of the campaign.

The Mustangs will host TCU on Saturday, March 1, the program’s final home competition of the season. That competition will also be a “Red Out” for Women’s Heart Disease Awareness/American Heart Association (AHA). AHA pins will be for sale, and proceeds will go to AHA.
