SMU Grabs 10 UEC Honors

Four Rider of the Year Awards, Five All-Conference Team Selections, UEC MOP

2015-16 (Sr.)Overall record of 19-14 with 10 MOPs…12-5 with six MOPs in equitation over fences and 7-9 with four MOPs in equitation on the flat… Scored a program-record 98 on the flat, while scoring a season-high 90 over fences… Earned both of the hunt seat MOP honors Sept. 24 against TCU, and became the second rider in SMU history to manage the feat. (Emma Roberts)… In equitation over fences, had 11 rides that scored 80 or higher, four 85 or higher… Won six straight decisions in equitation over fences, Nov. 20 – March 5… In equitation on the flat, had four rides that scored 90 or higher with a program high of 98… Went on two, three-ride win streaks. AWARDS: Named NCEA equitation over fences First-Team All-America…Named UEC equitation over fences Rider of the Year… Earned All-UEC for both equitation over fences and on the flat… Academically, achieved a 3.70 GPA and earned Beval Saddlery Academic All-America First-Team status, which is awarded to student-athletes who competed in a minimum of 70 percent of meets during the 2015-16 season, and earned a cumulative 3.5 GPA while maintaining full-time enrollment in the 2015 spring and fall semesters...Also earned La Hacienda Academic Honor Roll for maintaining a 3.25 GPA.

2014-15 (Jr.) - Overall record of 11-5-1 with three MOPs... 10-5-0 record in over fences, with three MOP's... 1-0-1 record on the flat... Had three rides that scored 85 or better... Season-high 86 in back-to-back meets against Oklahoma State (March 8) & Delaware State (March 20)... Had six consecutive victories from Feb. 2-April 16. AWARDS: NCEA Honorable Mention All-America (April 8)... NCEA United Equestrian Conference Equitation Over Fences Rider of the Month (March)... 2015 Pin Oak Collegiate Invitational Champion.

2013-14 (So.) - Inked a 10-5 record over fence, and a 1-1 record over flat...Won seven of her first eight appearances, inking four MOP victories...Averaged an 82.4 over fences and turned in 11 80+ performances, including a season-high 92 against Texas A&M...Went 1-1 over fences in the NCEA Championships, defeating Oklahoma State, 161-147.

2012-13 (Fr.) - Made 11 appearances on the fences, winning nine of those competitions, including three MVP performances...Won both of her NCEA matchups, scoring 173 points in both performances. Also made four flat appearances, going 2-2 in those matchups.

Prep: Trained under the instruction of her parents and Heritage Farm... Was the winner of the 2011 USEF Medal Finals... Placed eighth in the 2011 Maclay Finals and third in the 2011 USEF Show Jumping Talent Search... Named to Clinton High School Honor Roll 2012-14.

Personal: Anticipated advertising major and Spanish minor... Chose SMU for the equestrian team... Enjoys swimming, running, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends... Lists Michael Phelps as her favorite athlete... Parents are David and Kara Raposa... Both parents are equestrian professionals... Siblings are Riley and Conner.
