SMU Knocks Off South Dakota State, 13 - 5 For First Win

The Mustangs sweep MOP honors

2015-16 (Jr.) – Overall record of 2-4-1, all on the flat… Was awarded on equitation on the flat MOP after an 84-72 victory over South Dakota State’s Marielle Golden… Scored above 80 two-times… Was on the La Hacienda Academic Honor Roll after maintaining a minimum of 3.25 GPA.

2014-15 (So.) - Overall record of 3-9-1... 2-2-0 record in over fences... 1-7-1 record on the flat... Won last two fences head-to-head matchups against TCU (Feb. 2) and Oklahoma State (March 8)... Flat win came at Delaware State (March 20).

2013-14 (Fr.) - Did not compete.

Prep: Trained under the instruction of Karen Healy and her two assistants Melissa Jones and Tasha Visokay... Claimed the Interscholastic Equestrian League Year End Equitation championship in 2012... Finished eighth at the CPHA Foundation final in 2011... Third place performances at the LAHJA Junior Medal Finals in 2011, and qualified for the all year-end medal finals... High school equestrian captain... National Honor Society member... California Scholarship Federation member... Maintained 3.5 GPA throughout high school... Community service experience through Santa Barbara PTA, Green ClubandFree the Children.

Personal: Plans on majoring in advertising with a minor in fashion media... Picked SMU for the beautiful campus and the strong academics... Parents are Kristi and Jeff King... Sibling is Courtney.
