BOISE (SMU) - The SMU women?s basketball team jumped out to a 35-27 halftime lead and never trailed as the Mustangs cruised to a 63-57 win over Boise State at Taco Bell Arena on Saturday, Jan. 29.

The Mustangs (15-4, 6-3 WAC) scored the first 10 points of the game before extending their lead to as much as 16 in the second half. The Broncos were able to make it interesting, pulling within four (57-53) with two-and-a-half minutes to go, but SMU grabbed a pair of big rebounds in the final minute to halt Boise State's momentum.

Freshman Janielle Dodds was one of four Mustangs in double-figures, netting 13 points and adding 13 boards. Katie Gross was SMU?s top scorer with 15 points while Katy Cobb and Shonte Roberts added 11 and 10, respectively.

Up next for SMU is a home matchup with Nevada on Feb. 3.
