Men's Tennis Defeated by TCU 6-1

FT. WORTH (SMU) - The SMU men?s tennis team fell to TCU on Wednesday, 6-1, at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center in Ft. Worth. The Mustangs fought hard, but dropped the doubles point and never recovered in singles. SMU is now 13-11 on the season with the loss.

SMU dropped matches at spots four, one and two before grabbing their only point. The Mustangs' lone victory in singles came from Federico Murgier at the No. 3 position, where he upended Barbu, 7-6(8), 6-1, to make the score 4-1. With the match already in hand, the final two matches at five and six singles were decided in three sets and also won by the Frogs.

The men?s tennis team returns to the court Sun., Apr. 17, when they travel to Houston, Texas, to close out the regular season against WAC foe Rice at 12 p.m.
