DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU men?s tennis team was defeated by Tulane on Sunday, 4-0, at Haggar Tennis Stadium. The match was moved back two hours to allow the courts to dry from yesterday?s rainy weather, but the extra time did not help the Mustangs. SMU?s record falls to 10-7 with the loss.

The Green Wave took two of the three doubles matches to grab the early 1-0 lead. SMU?s No. 2 duo of Henrik Soderberg and Peter Oredsson won the only Mustang match on the day, winning 8-4 over Hernandez/Angelinos.

Singles play was halted once Tulane posted the 4-0 lead so they could catch their flight home. Of the three matches that did not play out, SMU had forced two third sets and was tied 5-5 in the second set of the No. 4 line.

The men?s tennis team returns to the court Wed., Mar. 30, when they host Oklahoma State at 2 p.m.
