SMU Falls to Cal 6-1 in Men's Tennis

DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU men?s tennis team fell to the California Bears on Sunday 6-1 at Haggar Tennis Stadium. Cal jumped out to the early 1-0 after taking the doubles point and was just as dominant in singles. SMU is now 9-6 on the season.

Freshman David Kuezer picked up the only Mustang win of the day at the No. 5 spot 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (12-10). Paul McNaughton and Peter Oredsson both played into tiebreakers, but were unable to grab a point for the Mustangs.

The men?s tennis team returns to the court Wed., Mar. 23, when they host the UIC Flames at 2 p.m. The Flames are coached by Hans Neufeld, brother of SMU head coach Carl Neufeld.
