Freshman Kazijevs earns team-leading eighth singles win

2010-11 (Jr.): Singles: Went 10-6 in singles play, including a 9-4 mark in dual matches... Had a three-match win streak from March 20-31... Took Rajeev Deb-Sen of Columbia (7-5, 1-6, 8-10) and Arthur Romanet of Bradley (6-3, 6-7, 8-10) to three sets before falling to each... Posted a five-match win streak from march 5-10, including four straight-set victories... Lost 2-6, 6-4, 4-10 to No. 67 Nikola Bubnic of San Diego in the consolation quarterfinals of the Midland Racquet Club Inviational in September... Doubles: Went 10-3 in doubles action... Played almost exclusively with Adham el-Effendi... Closed out the season with a six-match doubles win streak from March 15 - April 10... Only dual losses were in a double-header against Abilene Christian and Xavier on March 10... Opened the spring with a four-match win streak from March 3-8.

High School: A four-year letter-winner at Westwood... Was a mixed doubles regional qualifier.

Personal: Anticipated real estate finance major... Chose SMU for the mix of athletics, academics and location... Enjoys competition... Lists his favorite athlete as Rafael Nadal... Parents are Peter and Carol Sajovich... Has one brother.
